Been having issues trying to access my shares with any VM I’ve created with Windows 10. I’ve tried tons of different options in the community forum and none worked until I upon this one. This should also work with and takes 5mins!
Open up the registry editor on the machine you’re having issues with. Click Start > type in “” and enter. This should open the registry editor.
Browse to:
Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\LanmanWorkstation\Parameters
Set AllowInsecureGuestAuth to 1
You shouldn’t have to reboot. Try to access your share again and it should let you through!
